Supermarket Aistear

In January we were exploring the supermarket through Aistear. We looked at what foods we like, what we would see in the supermarket and the vocabulary around the supermarket. We built trollies, security desks, drew our favourite foods, wrote shopping lists and role played in the drama area. In out junk art area we had used different materials to make our own creations from the supermarket.

In March we had our visit from the dental nurse Adrianne, she was so so impressed with all we knew about how to keep our teeth clean. Look at us receiving our certificates. Proud moment 👦👧

Aistear: People who help us

In November we looked at people who help us. The fire brigade, gardaí and the doctors were three main people we named. We explored building and constructing our own hospitals, fire engines, Garda stations and much more. We designed uniforms for the emergency services, and created hat's to use in our drama area. We told played as the emergency service men and women by dressing up and creating scenarios with our groups.
